Yeah, to me it really doesn't feel like Tam Lin or Gaudy Night anyway. Like, externally, yes, they're both wearing some of the same wrappings, but both Tam Lin and Gaudy Night are about people coming more and more into themselves in essentially positive ways, while The Secret History is the reverse, a descent into weird hallucinogenic murder fantasy.
