Hahaha man Star, I kind of want to print out a copy of the scene I was talking about in that book and make everyone who joins an RP ever read it as part of the required background material. (I include myself in this! It's an easy trap to fall into and I've totally found myself playing that 'game' once or twice before I caught myself.) And Ono skewers that whole "if I can't be the happiest, then I will be THE MOST MISERABLE and EVERYONE WILL FEEL SORRY FOR ME AND RESPECT ME FOR SURVIVING" mindset so gloriously, I love it.
