Yeah, I spent some time going "really? Was she the first?" but I'm pretty sure she was! Well, except maybe Aravis, since Narnia definitely came before LOTR - but while Aravis was totally awesome, and I also imprinted on her hard, she never really got that moment of badass triumph that Eowyn did. And after that came Alanna and Cimorene and the rest (I was pretty little when I read LOTR the first time) but yeah, Eowyn was momentous.

(I KNOW RIGHT. Like, 'top five badass Avatar ladies' and 'top five badass FMA ladies' would STILL be kind of difficult to narrow down!)
