Yeah, I am looking forward to (hopefully) seeing it evolve at least a little - I do remember Thud! being better, but I also haven't reread it since it came out.

(I also totally loved Mau from Nation though, and I did read that relatively recently! HE WAS BEST.)

But yeah -- you are the second person here to point out the 'average Morporkian' viewpoint, and I think that's a large part of the problem.
