It was both -- they definitely said it in dialogue at least once (pretty sure Jupiter said something about YOU CAN'T JUST DESTROY HALF OF CHICAGO AND HAVE NO ONE NOTICE), and also at the end of the fight, after their scenic tour of destroying what I assume was every major landmark they could find, they crash-roller-skate-landed in front of the Hyatt Regency(?) Chicago.
