Hee, whereas handwriting/me OTP. (It is seriously one of the things that has kept me in my current job for so long: not just doing what I do, but doing it at an archive.) But transcriptions are great! I like doing them, and certainly they are faster most of the time, whatever one's relationship with handwriting.
