I think I was so braced for things to get AWFUL after reading your review that it didn't even hit me that hard; I was braced for Horvat's death, and then I kept waiting for things to be worse! Also, I'd completely forgotten Dee Dee's SINISTER PLOT TO SEDUCE AND FRAME BJ'S BROTHER and it's the funniest terrible side plot extrusion I've ever encountered.
