I mean, I don't mind Anakin being hilariously whiny as long as it is actual hilarious whininess (see: droid-related sulking) but it is nice to have it tempered with other things also. And even in the first ten episodes, you can see them demonstrating Heroic Protagonist Traits that are also Tragic Flaws in a much stronger way than the films ever did.
