Thank you for relinking that article; I somehow missed it in your journal, and I'm very glad to have read it now. It's a more optimistic, forward-looking synthesis of a lot of the things I've been turning over. The Diaspora looks very different today than it did a hundred years ago, but that certainly doesn't mean it's over, or that we have to lose the things we've learned from it.
