It hit me like a ton of bricks (Campion walks away thinking fondly of the plucky fortitude of the stern old lady who went through various sturm and drang to make sure the inheritance didn't go to the Shame and the Scandal, and I threw the book across the room) but it's been long enough now that I will go on eventually! But then genarti found the first Alleyn book at her parents' house and passed it on, so now I'll probably go through all those first before I get back to Campion.
