YEAH, WHY KILL OFF THE FUNNIEST DUDE.
Also, the only other characters I was genuinely invested in was the dragon rider and her potential girlfriend who helped the alchemist in the beginning, and since I did not finish the book I am gonna pretend it worked out fine for them!
