I wish it had been good! I was very excited about the idea of Tané's plot, because I love dragondrider stories -- having one that used eastern dragons instead of western was a cool twist, and letting the women and men be equal in actually becoming dragonriders is still fairly rare. But then they took her dragon away, and, well... if you don't have a dragon to ride, it isn't really a dragonrider plot anymore.
