I would definitely recommend; I've read a ton of Barbara Michaels by now and many are really enjoyably bonkers, but there are also a few that I legitimately love as novels -- the "girl meets career" ones like Into the Darkness (girl meets jewelry store! and maybe a ghost!), Vanish with the Rose (girl meets landscaping! and maybe a ghost!), Shattered Silk (girl meets vintage clothing ship! and maybe a ghost!), and Witch (middle-aged woman meets infinite time in a quiet town to spend on her own hobbies! and maybe a ghost!) all tend to be really good.
...and then there's my actual favorite, Someone in the House, in which a group of vacationers attempt to solve the Mystery of Kevin's Enthusiastic Invisible Sex.
