Yeah I get you, I am also usually fine to roll with significant relationships being anywhere from platonic to ambiguous to explicitly romantic and/or sexual, but have some pairs of characters where I have FIRM opinions. With Mako and Raleigh from Pacific Rim, for example, I cannot bring myself to even read fics that ship them, and with Mike and Psmith from the Psmith books I am baffled that anyone wouldn't ship them because they so obviously belong in a romantic relationship with each other, whereas with Kamet and Costis I'm just delighted to read literally anything that people choose to write about them, even if I prefer it to remain ambiguous in canon!
