I love The Magnus Archives. Caveats: the portrayals of some antagonists are pretty appallingly racist (the creators are aware of at least one of these choices and have apologized, but the relevant episodes are still a rough listen); the fifth and final season takes a sharp turn in terms of world logic; and I found the ending deeply unsatisfying beyond the ways in which we are obviously supposed to find it ambiguous. However, the plotting a lot of the world-building are an enjoyably intricate puzzle, the characters are complex and sympathetic even when they're not likable, and there are several in-universe nods to "no, really, that is not how you archive." Also, there is a ton of excellent fanfic out there. I would be very interested to see what you think of the show if you ever decide to give it a listen.
