At the time I was devastated about Victor (just recently I discovered postcanon Joseph-and-Victor fic from fifteen years ago lurking in the depths of my hard drive) but now I'm like 'CONGRATULATIONS VICTOR! you're the only one who squeaked a coherent narrative out of this whole mess!'
