My absolute favorite Anne-Marie Crime is when she lies and tells her grandmother that the grandmother's mean landlord said something nice about her outfit, which means that the grandmother feels grimly obliged to be pleasant to the landlord next time she sees him, which means they start hanging out socially, which makes them BOTH so frustrated that they go into cardiac arrest and die.
