I was wondering specifically if Bobby Gordon was Jewish (which isn't a given, because as far as I can make out neither of the people who played Al Jolson's parents was - Cantor Rabinowitz was played by Werner Oland, who was (a) Swedish and (b) best known for playing Charlie Chan - the mind boggles). I think probably he was.
