It's very anime and also very 80s fantasy cartoon, somehow, which honestly feels correct ... but I did definitely spend the ENTIRE movie trying to figure out what was going on with her boot situation, and then trying to describe it to people afterwards who very politely humored me while I hunted for screencaps.
