Huh, Dawn Treader was my favourite and The Silver Chair was ruined for me by being the one where I realised it was allegory. It was the bit where Jadis(?) is trying to convince Tyrian(?) the sun doesn't exist by comparing it to a lamp, and he comes out with a speech on faith and all at once I realised "this is about God, isn't it?" Before that the Lion was just a Lion to me.
I never read Prince Caspian much because our copy was falling to pieces and it was awkward to handle. The Magician's Nephew was enjoyably batshit and The Last Battle was unenjoyably batshit.
