Off to friend's house for Wacky Jewish/Nondenominational Christmas Eve, involving the proud traditions of Chinese food, cheesy holiday films, shiny faux-festive decor, and klassy booze. (This last, admittedly, is kind of a new tradition.) Will see many people I have not seen in months; also probably the last time I'll see the friend who's hosting before she vanishes to Israel for a year, so odds are I will be staying the night. The alcohol may also be a factor in this.
