I guess I'm signing up for two exchanges running in March? WHICH SEEMS A POOR PLAN, but oh well, I DO WHAT I WANT.

Anyway, hey guys, thank you so much for writing a thing for me! These are just guidelines -- whatever you do, I am sure to love it!

For Purimgifts, I requested:

Fiddler on the Roof: Bock/Harnick/Stein: As I wrote about recently, I am currently slightly awash in Fiddler on the Roof FEELINGS. What I would really especially love is fic about sisters -- especially postcanon; I have a real fondness for the idea that the scattered sisters would be able to meet again, HOWEVER IMPLAUSIBLE THAT MAY BE. But during canon and seeing some of what they make of each other's choices would be great too! Anything is fine!

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: First, and most importantly, I'm only about halfway through season three right now, so please don't assume any canon knowledge from me beyond that, and I'd appreciate if you didn't spoil me. Secondly, Kira Nerys is my FAVORITE, though I love all the other ladies too. Also, while I like calling Bajorans Space Jews, you don't have to run with "Bajorans are Space Jews!" if you don't want to.

Bedknobs and Broomsticks (1971): I was so excited that someone requested this and I promptly had to follow suit! WHAT A GREAT IDEA. I don't actually have anything to express here except a love for Miss Price and general enthusiasm. (Oh, and a strong belief that the end of the film is not the end of magic for any of them.)

Shoujo Kakumei Utena: I love everybody but NANAMI IS MY FAVORITE. Also, I firmly believe that Utena crosses over with anything, so ... do with that what you will. :D

And for the Invisible Ficathon, I requested:

Millie Goes to School Series: I love these books! They're so comforting. And what a great focus on female friendship! But ... I'm not the only one who'd like to see some kind of wacky magic AU, right? How would Millie and her chums cope with the supernatural? Let's throw in a fantastical element and see what happens!

Les Mousserables: I'm really intrigued by the friendship between Jean Bonbon and Epienine! Jean Bonbon is selfish, and Epienine is jealous; they've both got a dark side that the rest of the characters, like unselfish Flantine, might not understand. I'd love to know more about their dynamic.

Hey Mister God: The central thesis of this monologue is really the fact that God doesn't care about Pip -- it's inherently a one-sided dialogue. It's kind of a tragedy, really. I guess what I'm asking for is a fix-it AU. What would happen if God did respond? What if he did care about Pip after all? You don't have to take this to a slashy place (although, I mean, if you feel inspired, feel free. Maybe God's not answering because he just cares about Pip too much!)

The Lost Heir - Phoebe Marlow: Look, we've all heard the rumors that this book is basically thinly-veiled RPF, and I don't want to get into that -- fiction is fiction, let's leave the author's personal life out of it! That said . . . okay, what about these rumors that Count Ugolino might be reformed in a sequel? Is that even possible? If you can sell me on reformed!Ugolino, I'll be really impressed, but you don't have to go that route -- I'd also love anything about the guardianship dynamics between Matilda, Florian and little Maximilian.

*inhales on own laughter* Becca, I really hope you get all of the Invisible Ficathon ones. Particularly the Lost Heir. I mean, look, Snicket made me cry about Count Olaf. It can't be harder than that. I was going to say, I don't think even Olaf tried to push them off an Alp, but it really depends, morally, on how tall you think Mount Fraught is.

Incidentally and completely unrelatedly, I'm listening to audiobooks of Heyer and I've just started Sylvester, and... it is so frustrating, because the narration is excellent, but he doesn't pause between dialog tags or do a sufficient job of differentiating voices. Ianthe and Sylvester should not sound like long lost twins. But I have to tell you that the Talisman Ring audiobook is GREAT. Super super great. The reader can't stop grinning and you can hear her cracking up at some of the better parts.
