Yeah, I agree -- I got to the end of episode 18 and I was like "...wait, we're not done? It definitely feels like we're done." (AND THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THAT PLOT POINT. >:( I knew it was coming and I was still mad.)

I DID FORGET to mention the gigolo part. Mainly because it's still hilarious to me how important that wasn't -- like, he had this whole setup for melodramatic manpain, abandoned by parents! dying mother!! working as a gigolo!!! and then literally none of it was relevant after episode 3 except that he and Na Mi are real siblings now.

...I guess the gigolo thing did come back up that one time. But only to give Jae Bok the opportunity to politely make it clear that she would not reward attention-seeking behavior.

I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE Chae Ri ate the stalker chocolate and then serenely faked her own death!! They honestly should have just let Chae Ri tackle Eun Hee by herself, she probably would have been the most effective of all.
