Right? There were actually two McNairs in the production, one who was understudy and moderating the talkback; McNair 1 talked a bit about the role, then the actor playing John Adams was like 'ALSO McNair represents the people -' and McNair 2 was like "YES I WAS ABOUT TO SAY THAT" and Adams sheepishly handed the mike over, which also felt very meta.

(It took me like three scenes to notice it under his gray frock coat and as soon as I did a literal double-take but it's HILARIOUS, especially during "But Mr. Adams" - 'but I burn, Mr. A!' 'SO DO I, MR. J!')
