Everyone wants their weapon to be cuddly. *solemn* *also, laughing* I LOVE writers who are clearly and obviously dorks.

IT IS AMAZING. Kage Baker's Company series, which not only has the offhand Discworld reference and IMMORTAL CYBORG WILLIAM RANDOLPH HEARST, but also a cyborg librarian whose hobby throughout the centuries of his life is writing EPICALLY RIDICULOUS RPF. He cries at the ending of his own stories, it's adorable.

(EXCELLENT. I think half of those hints are probably Matt Damon, who is capable of making really hilariously dorky expressions at times.)
