skygiants: Princess Tutu, facing darkness with a green light in the distance (crackbible)

Our tale begins on a sunny Friday afternoon, when our heroine, free of the burden of education for the day, made the decision to wander abroad in search that rarest of beasts: the Cheap Secondhand Copy of a Book Necessary For Class Which Must Be Read By Monday Next.

Accordingly, our heroine waited until the Chariot known as the Free Campus Bus passed by her dwelling place and disembarked in the vicinity of that mecca of all things literary, the Good (Albeit Dusty and Confusingly Arranged) Secondhand Bookstore. But alas! No copy of the book which was needed could be found. "Woe!" cried our heroine, and probably also "Forsooth!" because this is that kind of story, and returned to the bus stop, wherein she found herself presented with a choice: to be, in truth, a Lazy Bum and await the return of the bus, or to take the path of Virtue and walk some few miles back to campus, a path which would also allow her to pass by the Other (Prettier If Less Comprehensive) Secondhand Bookstore. And although the pleasant path of idleness exerted its temptations upon our heroine, for once in her life, she heeded them not, and set out undaunted upon her journey.

Full long she walked, and found herself at a Small, Hitherto Unexplored Shopping Center near to the campus town. "Exploration," quoth she to herself, "cannot but yield knowledge, and search of knowledge is indeed always part of the path of Virtue." Therefore, Explore she did, and then struck boldly out along an Unknown Path in an attempt to return to parts better-known to her. An unkind observer might have used the word 'lost', but in sooth, no such thing was true, for she did see the landmark of the Humorously Phallic Campus Tower far on the horizon and knew that were she indeed to be confused in her path she could use that as her guide.

However, such a resort was not necessary, and as she returned to streets which names if not parts specific she recognized, a sign struck her with delight. And the name of this sign was Whole Foods, a store the lack of which in her immediate neighborhood our heroine had long bewailed, for as much as one would like one cannot live off of french fries alone. And there was much purchasing of Unusually Healthsome Yet Tasty Food Items to last her through the weekend (during which time her Hall of Dining was not accustomed to be open) and, indeed, also much rejoicing, and our heroine continued along her way with the knowledge of a Whole Foods location now burned into her memory, and also the knowledge that Virtue, Exploration, and Fresh Air and Exercise are in truth rewarded!
