Nov. 10th, 2011 10:11 amSometimes, the best answer for homework stress is brain candy YA fiction. Sometimes, it's AMAZING KDRAMA COSTUMES!
So last time we had a You're Beautiful costume poll, He Yi narrowly edged ahead of the other competitors in her super-stylish bling:

But this round, it's a Capital Scandal flashback as we rock the AWESOME HEADGEAR.
1.
I don't think I've had a chance yet to feature any of Go Mi Nyu's Wacky Aunt's super-colorful outfits . . . SO ALLOW ME TO DO SO NOW. With the bright green frilly apron (with a HEART on the front!) paired with a bright red Mickey Mouse bow, this outfit is sort of like what would happen if Se Gi decided to go gothic lolita.

Oh, and let's not forget the floral skirt and leggings! THEY MATCH EVERYTHING.
2.
Oh hey, speaking of matching everything: HIDEOUS THREE-PIECE SHORT SLEEVED PLAID SUIT IS GO!

Jeremy does not appear that much in this episode, but when he does he wants to make an impression. I mean, not only is this the ugliest suit I have ever seen a human being wear (and, again, I watched all of Capital Scandal, so that is saying something!) but it is possibly the ugliest hair I have ever seen our Jeremy wear . . . and that's saying something too!

ABANDON THE PERM, JEREMY. BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.
3.
Now, sharp-eyed, looking at Jeremy's pictures, will have noticed a little moppet running around in a cap and knickerbockers.

"Awww," I thought to myself, "Go Mi Nyu is dressed like a little drummer boy!"

Then I realized that not only was she dressed like a drummer boy, she was wearing ACTUAL CONFEDERATE ARMY HAT.
AN ACTUAL. CONFEDERATE ARMY. HAT.
a;sdkjfd;sI can't even. Exhibit A in the argument against hipster cultural appropriation, guys: just out of the nunnery, and you might end up accidentally signing up to fight for the losing side in another country's CIVIL WAR!
4.
You might think I am showing you this picture to demonstrate, with relief, how rationally dressed and lacking in random culturally loaded accidentally racist headgear Go Mi Nyu is today. Even the girl!drag wig is pretty okay! Which: true, but I am also showing it to you to talk about the SINISTER FEDORA-CLAD FIGURE stalking her through the streets.

Is it a Pinkerton agent? A private detective transplanted from the 1930's?

Oh, no, it's just Shin Woo, dressing up in his nicest suit and hat and following Go Mi Nyu around ALL DAY like a GIANT CREEPER. What a relief!

But credit where it's due, he is looking pretty dapper, and in this show, that's an achievement that's worth getting called out.
5.
When I first saw this shapeless satin sack that He Yi was wearing, my first inclination, I'll admit, was to shout "PUT ON SOME PANTS, HE YI" and move on past.

But then she catered to my weaknesses . . . and accesorized with a SUPER ADORABLE hat.

So now I have changed my cry to "He Yi, you are super cute, from the shoulders up don't change a thing!"

". . . . but please put on some pants."

Date: 2014-01-18 01:00 pm (UTC)As I watch You're Beautiful, I keep thinking 'what outfits would Becca put in the costume poll for this episode if she had continued with them for this show?'
Like right now, with He Yi's teal top with black collar and neon pink wolf.
Also, I am totally interested in your opinion of Jeremy's oh-so-obvious wig.
