In the ones I've read, there are murders but they're passed off as "Oh, yeah, another murder without gory detail, but let me tell you all about the new stock I've laid in at my New Age crystals shop!" Passing over most of the mystery stuff makes me bounce, actually--no knitting or embroidery/cross-stitch cozy mysteries for me so far, though the idea seems appealing!
