(Hmmm, that's more in the background than the foreground -- it's true that Daisy dresses more femme and Garet has an edgy short haircut and so on, but the conflicts are more about the fact that Garet is very straightforward and Daisy tends to go about getting what she wants in ways that Garet considers manipulative. Which I guess is also kind of gendered, really.)
