To be honest it took me a while to get into it, and it's not my favorite of hers -- the parts I liked best were a set of sections about 2/3 of the way through when she jumps randomly into first person for a set of vignettes around the city Those were all great! And she managed to nail individual, personal voices there in a way that the third-person sections didn't really; for most of the book I did sort of feel that characters had been traded away for plot and panorama.
