The nice thing about Murder Must Advertise to me is that it feels angry but not bitter - like, everything is broken systematically in that book, but that doesn't mean that everything is awful on a day-to-day level.

Though I do think the thing that Murder Must Advertise and Gaudy Night have in common is that they're both good enough to be worth arguing with.
