skygiants: Sokka from Avatar: the Last Airbender vehemently facepalming (facepalm)

I have perhaps an unfair prejudice against the novel Frankenstein. I understand that it is a very important book in terms of the development of half the science fiction tropes in the world, and that it is really even very good for having been written by a nineteen-year-old who had been spending all her time hanging out with Byron, Shelley, and her crazy Byron-stalking stepsister. The trouble is that every time I read the book I find myself incapable of stifling the impulse to beat Victor Frankenstein repeatedly and consistently over the head with a stick. I have a hard time thinking of a fictional character who inspires me more to violence. Even my dislike of West pales by comparison.

Actually, if I had not been reading for school, I could probably have had a lot of fun playing a Frankenstein drinking game. Every time Victor describes himself as suffering more than anyone else in the history of ever, one sip; every time someone else describes Victor as being noble or godlike, two sips; every time Victor gets someone killed by sitting anxiously on his hands, drain the glass!

And now I am curious: o my flist, what other books would make for fabulous drinking games? Go!

I'm... not sure. The one with Kenneth Branagh, possibly, but it might not have been.
