Thank you so much for writing for me! I have been doing Yuletide for some large number of years now and I have never failed to be delighted by what I received; if you write something that makes you happy, I guarantee I will be delighted with it also.
I am always interested in women interacting with each other, ensemble stories, community-building and community dynamics, revolutions, complex politics, and the kind of romance where flawed and peculiar people figure out how their flaws and peculiarities fit together. I'm pretty much always down for crossovers; setting-swap AUs tend to be pretty hit or miss for me but this year I'm definitely feeling the canon-divergence AUs, as you will see in some of my requests!
Most of these canons deal with some pretty serious topics, and dark themes are A-OK if it makes sense for the story, but I tend not to be into graphic and gratuitous violence. Sexual content is fine but I'd prefer it wasn't the entire point of the fic.
7 Seeds
Fandom: 7 Seeds
Characters: Iwashimizu Natsu, Ban (7 Seeds), Saotome Botan, Kagurazaka Mitsuru
Details: I truly love everyone in this post-apocalyptic bar and I'd truly be happy to receive literally any fic about pretty much any characters in the tagset, but I have a couple prompt ideas for these four in particular over at my letter. (This is an any-of-these-characters request rather than an all-these-characters.)
- for Natsu, I'd love more postcanon fic about how she continues to navigate her place in the now much larger post-finale community -- her long arc is fantastic, and I love how far she's come and also that it's clear that she's not done growing, by a long shot. I think the dynamic with Semimaru ended in a really interesting place in the story and I love that she's still wildly confused and ambivalent about it by the end of canon, so please feel free to further explore that -- I'm very interested in what it feels like for Natsu, who's used to safely pining in the secure feeling that nobody will ever be romantically interested in her, to have to plainly face the fact that someone clearly is, whether or not she reciprocates -- but I'm also really interested in her relationships with Matsuri and Hana. (I think the whole messy complicated negotiation of The Ango And Ryo Situation is really well depicted in the manga, so please feel free to explore that if you feel up to it, but it IS definitely very messy so please also feel free to completely ignore it!)
- Ban is a genuine cryptid whom I love very much and I'd honestly just really enjoy anything that focuses on him a little more; I'd especially love to get a weird postcanon adventure with any of the kids he doesn't spend much time with over the course of the show (okay yes I wrote a whole Ban/Chisa manifesto but I promise you don't have to subscribe to my Ban/Chisa manifesto if you don't want) but I'd also be really interested in his perspective on things that go down in canon
- I'm so curious about Botan's role as more or less The Only Adult, and especially about her mostly-offscreen transition from the stern survivalist who scares the Summer B kids in the first few chapters to the chill laid-back nudist from the later chapters that we all know and love. So I'd be interested in Botan-POV for some of the early stuff in canon we're not there for, and also in fic about her role in the new society postcanon; I'm especially interested in seeing interactions with Ran and Aramaki, who both also have filled the 'only adult' role in very different ways
- speaking of adults, I'd love an AU in which Mitsuru survives into the present to meet the other kids, either instead of or along with Aramaki. Don't get me wrong, I love Aramaki very much, I just think Mitsuru would have a very different role and attitude and I'm extremely curious to see it! I'm also really interested here in hypothetical dynamics with Botan and Ran. (Was this all inspired by Ran's one line about never thinking she'd meet an older woman again? A LITTLE.)

Details: Sometimes two reincarnated humans and a ghost love each other very much, and sometimes they love each other SO much that the humans publish novel-length RPF ABOUT the ghost, and sometimes they then all live happily ever after! OK, that last part didn't officially happen yet in canon but it was strongly implied that it MIGHT and now it can! in your fic! if you feel so inspired! :D
I love this ghost OT3, please give me more ghost OT3! (Okay technically only one of them is a ghost.) Some ideas:
Writing and/or revolutions! Shin Yool was also writer in the past, though the story doesn't spend a lot of time on that; does Yoo Jin Oh now want a fiction writing career of his own? Or does he -- or the whole trio! -- get involved in using their pens for contemporary battles against injustice? Maybe a ghost can do research that ordinary humans can't? (MAYBE A CROSSOVER WITH HEALER.)
Or - FANDOM HIJINKS! Is Jeon Seol still a BNF? Did Se Joo ever find her fanfic about him? Did her RPF experience help make it less weird for Han Se-Joo to write his own lengthy published RPF about their past lives? Are people now writing fanfic for the published novel, and how weird is it for all of them (or not weird at all for Jeon Seol?)
Or - kidfic! Parenting in a family where one partner is a ghost? WHAT IF there's another awkward kidfic reincarnation situation? ...please don't have Shin Yool reincarnate as their child, that would be significantly too awkward. But an opponent from their revolutionary past could be really interesting!
Or general reincarnation stuff wrt memories/the revolution/learning from the past! Or ghost-rules-related plotlines drawing in Bang Wool and Bang Jin, both of whom I love very much! Or anything else you feel inspired to write!

Characters: Any
Details: This is also a bar in which I love everyone and would be happy with just about any fic, but I'm especially excited about the possibilities for Minja and Daeyong as the new Healer duo because I'm fairly sure whatever they do is going to be HILARIOUS. And I always want more reporter antics -- backstory about Choi Myunghee and the pirate radio group? Future-story about Youngshin, Junghoo, and the rest of the Some Day gang? IT'S ALL GOOD.
I got amazing fic for this show a few years back fromchina_shop and I still hold it close to my heart and reread it frequently; now I've been rewatching it, I'm greedy for more! I'm not gonna lie -- if you just wrote me some of this imaginary sequel series that somebody came up with, I would be delighted beyond measure. But there is so much more that I also care about and would love to see! I love the weird found family of Youngshin and Junghoo and all their adoptive parents and guardians and siblings and babysitters and reporters and criminals; I love the romance; I love The Power of the Press Changing the World; I love Daeyong and her gang of paintball-wielding disaffected teens; I love Minja and her sushi and her knitting and the detective with a starry-eyed crush on her (I ship it in a way where I actually ship it, and I also ship it in a way where he pines after her forever and it never goes anywhere, it's ALL GOOD); I love the backstory! I could read about pirate radio forever! Seriously, anything you write me for this show will delight me.
Fandom: The Scarlet Pimpernel - Baroness Orczy
Characters: Percy Blakeney (Orczy), Chauvelin (Orczy), Marguerite Blakeney (Orczy)
Details: The Percy-Chauvelin dynamic has some real Kate Beaton NEMESIS vibes and I'm very into it. I'd love to see some tropey forced-to-work-together grudging-nemesis-respect nonsense; I would also love some postcanon Percy and Marguerite adventures in which Marguerite actually gets to successfully DO THINGS and the "cleverest woman in Europe" tag comes into play. Secret bonus request: a couple years back my friend wrote a femslash AU featuring Peggy Blakeney, it was amazing, and if anyone wanted to run in that general direction and throw Chauvelin into the mix (I'd be equally interested in an AU in which Percy and Chauvelin were both women living as women, women cross-dressing as men, men who are not cis, or any combo of the above) I'd be EXTREMELY DELIGHTED.
So I've been reading a lot of Scarlet Pimpernel books this year ... and I may have spent some time pulling out all the funniest thirsty nemesis quotes .... if that's of interest .....
I will say that as much as I love these books I'm FULLY aware that Orczy's politics and attitude on the French Revolution is, um, extremely lacking in nuance, and I would absolutely be A-OK with a fic that played around with that to complicate the setup. Also, if you do happen to have read the later books, I'd be really interested in finding on what goes down between Percy, Marguerite and Chauvelin after the Fleurette situation (what does Chauvelin DO with his life? did Marguerite herself know that Chauvelin had a daughter? assovay asks below, what was Fleurette's mom even LIKE?) but there's plenty in the original text to jump off from if you haven't!
Fandom: 陈情令 | The Untamed (TV)
Characters: Wēn Qíng (The Untamed (TV))
Details: My favorite change the drama made to the book was the expansion of Wen Qing's role, and I was very sad that plot meant we weren't going to continue to see her in the present day; I would love an AU in which she somehow makes it through the tragic backstory into the present!
There are like five million ways to write a Wen Qing survival AU and I'd be stoked for all of them -- whether the fact that she doesn't die ends up rewriting what goes down in the past in a major way, or her reappearance is a late-stage discovery in the present like Wen Ning's that surprises some or all of the cast. The show definitely built up a whole interesting dynamic with Jiang Cheng that then kind of fizzled out at the end, so leaning into the possibilities there is one way to take this but definitely not the only one! (I'd be happy to see a Wen Qing/Jiang Cheng romance for the TV versions of the characters -- I think there's some really interesting parallels in their roles as older siblings/heads of households attempting to wrangle more idealistic family members and failing, and also ... their mutual grumpiness is very funny to me ...... but I'd also be happy to read her as queer, ace or aro if that's your headcanon. An AU in which Wen Qing sweeps Jiang Yanli off her feet and recruits her soup-making talents for the Wen Clan would definitely have hilarious ripple effects!)
