I reread this not long ago and it was painful. I did find Andrea a recognisable character and I liked that we weren't supposed to find her clinginess healthy - even while you could see where it came from (good sister/mother makes brother/son her world! Invests all in his health/happiness/success! Empty nest, oh fuck.) But it was not a fun book.
