Orsino's 40th birthday party is SO funny, that whole scene immediately made Orsino 10x as much of a presence to me as he usually is.

I also noticed the "Olivia" change! I wondered at the time if it was to make Viola seem mentally closer to Olivia and more genuinely attracted to her, but her acting choices otherwise don't really bear that out, so yeah, I think you're right, it's probably just to remove ambiguity.
