I got to see it live, because I live locally and have been going to Synetic Theater productions for years. Their adaptations of classic literature and Shakespeare are always worth going to, if you can stand that they're mostly silent, and sometimes very adapted (Much Ado set in 50s Vegas, for example). Not only do they use Russian physical theater techniques, but they've branched out into puppetry (My Father's Dragon) and shadow-puppetry (Beauty and the Beast).
The costuming is almost always amazing, but the Red Death outfit was one of the more memorable ones!
