Some of the defining elements of the Everyone Stays AU overlap with yours: - Instead of Tom Paris we have Nicholas Locarno, Wesley Crusher's murdery-ambitious classmate also played by Robert Duncan McNeill in TNG, who has a much more difficult redemption arc - He stays behind on the New Earth planet anyway, and Amelia Earhart comes with them and becomes the pilot - So much Maquis/Starfleet tensions. Also Seska is a Cardassian spy but she's not the traitor to the Kazon, that's someone else. Seska just figures she's stuck in the Delta Quadrant now better do what she can to get home. So there's Maquis/Starfleet conflict AND conflict with Seska's Cardassian sensibilities and the cultural context of everyone who joins the crew - Tuvok is everyone's dad, and his Maquis children are very mad at him. - Suder OBVIOUSLY stays for a whole show and Voyager has to actually figure out a crime and punishment system in a situation where sticking people in the brig is a waste of resources.
Neelix doesn't necessarily die but in the Everyone Stays AU everyone also gets character development.
