Both The Flight of Dragons and the Rankin-Bass Hobbit were major features of my childhood, so I'm incapable of assessing them impartially -- but I did force a bunch of my friends to sit down and watch The Flight of Dragons with me a few years ago. None of them were impressed. This did not change my love for it in any way.
