Yes yes yes I loved this for all these reasons! I will be so annoyed if it isn't on the Hugo list. I think my only minor criticism is that I think it's too far on the edge of fever dream just at the point where we need to know who the various political players are - I kept on being like.... general? ....war criminal? ...industrialist? Or, hell, even a list of players in the front. But such a minor criticism, because such a good book.
