Haven't reread Narnia in full in about eighteen years but these observations track. It feels completely unnecessary to say, based on who I am as a person, that The Silver Chair was everything to me, but I'll say it anyway.

The Last Battle was inexplicable and cringe even for my child self, who was used to reading Evangelical kid's lit. Theologically and ethically dubious and also just a bad book.
