I am about to visit my family's cottage in the Kawarthas, which is similarly full of yellowing paperbacks, as well as a substantial collection of 1960s comic books in the loft behind the fireplace where the kids hide out. I lugged my humongous Fullmetal Alchemist boxed set up there a few years ago with just that feeling of adding fresh compost to the topsoil.
