OKAY SO.

1. The last thing I wrote was depressing, grim and uncomfortable.
2. It is almost the holiday and I am in no mood to a.) be depressed and grim or b.) do actual work. >.>
3. The other day Jo linked me to a set of hilarious crossover drabbles from I-don't-remember-where that filled me with JOY.

Therefore, I am stealing that idea, and offering a meme! Give me two canons and possibly a prompt-y thing of some kind, and I will write a crossover drabble at some point in the not-immediate-but-relatively-soonish future. I will also (in the more immediate future) engage in ridiculous speculation about who would get on with who and who would hate each other and what would be the most hilarious cross-canon pairing and so on, and this bit I encourage everyone to join in on! Let us get a storm of wacky cracky crossover ideas going on in here!

(I am, however, outlawing Milliways from prompts if not from wacky speculation, because I want to stretch my crossoverly writer muscles without being able to use the bar as a crutch.)

I'm actually not sure the title ever really makes a ton of sense . . . except in the sense that the hero is oversized and thus Ajax-like? That's about all I can remember.

Also, dude, if Titanic had a happy ending (and, you know, was set in the Regency period, etc.) it practically would be a Georgette Heyer. Except Leo would have to turn out to be a Duke in disguise, Kate would have to have a bratty little brother, and the bad guy whose name I forget would get a sequel in which he kidnapped someone by accident and she thought he was ridiculous and Set His Head On Straight.

Hmmm. That is a tricky question! Sara might be just saintly and Dickon-like enough for Mary to be forced to like her in spite of her general distrust of saintly little girls . . .

(*weeps* oh my god Gramarye did you ever see the Yuletide crossover fic that was Mary/Dickon/Colin and Sara/Becky with Colin getting all jealous over the chance of Sara/Mary? MY BRAIN WILL NEVER HEAL)

I do! But I have not read Dogsbody in ages, so this will give me an excuse to reread. That is an intriguing idea, though, and form what I remember they would actually work together really well . . . . except for the small fact that Diane Duane would never let a star have as pronouncable a name as 'Sirius'.

. . . BEST CROSSOVER IDEA EVER. It would have to be during the Billy era just because of the buckets and buckets of hilarious scorn that Marc would pour on poor Billy's head . . .

(Though I still also want the Bond crossover where Betty is assigned to be Bond's assistant because she is not a model and so M is fairly sure he won't sleep with her.)

I know! Also the costumes would have been prettier and Kate Winslet could have had happy Sense and Sensibility flashbacks - and dude, wouldn't that be a fabulous crossover! Switch Kate Winslet in S&S and Kate Winslet in Titanic and see how long it takes anyone to notice!

Um um ummmmm. *ponders* I want a Mairelon the Magician crossover, because I just mentioned your crossdressing paper to my roommate -- but with what? I am tempted by Chrestomanci or Howl's Moving Castle, mainly because I think Mairelon having a fabulous-and-vague-off with either Howl or Chrestomanci would be amazing.

Alternatively, The Dark is Rising and Heroes.
