Last night I saw that Watchmen movie with rushin_doll and chlorrel. Overall I thought it was pretty awesome, but I'm fairly sure the best part was how it was accompanied by the least subtle soundtrack in the history of cinema. It was like being hit multiple times with a sledgehammer! Sometimes it was a totally awesome sledgehammer, and sometimes it was just a completely hilarious sledgehammer (and you all know which scene I mean.)

So, now I totally want to know: what would you guys add to the ~*~least subtle soundtrack ever?~*~

For example, I am kind of shocked that they never used American Pie - possibly for the scene when Dr. Manhattan dumps Janey Slater? Or maybe when Janey Slater pulls off her cancer-wig. BYE BYE, MISS AMERICAN PIE. And chlorrel suggests Last Midnight for the scene with the Doomsday Clock!

You know, I'm actually blanking on the music at the funeral - remind me what was playing then?

Overall, while there were a few times when I was like "you know, I almost wish I wasn't finding this scene quite so hilarious," I WILL TAKE THE HILARITY AS GENIUS ANYWAYS.

(RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES, Feather. I know that one was actually in the book, but STILL.)

...I am now blanking as well besides my :O reaction. I just vaguely remember being thrown out of the movie because of it and going TEE HEE at the naked blue man in a suit.

I DID, TOO! Oh, I loved the thing. It was very entertaining and as good as we could hope for from the source. But it cracked me up so much when I shouldn't have been. There were so many times when they killed off historical figures that I had a TEE HEE moment, and everyone around me was going "wtf, Feather?". I couldn't explain because it was just too damn funny. I'm sorry, they just killed Pat Buchanan, I can't breath!

*giggles* Fair! And HAHA yes. Oh Dr. Manhattan.

Oh man, Feather, I was so worried they were going to kick us out of the theater for cracking up at inappropriate moments. (Ana, afterwards: 'you know, you guys were, uh, laughing a lot . . .' Me and Jenny: 'HAHAHAHAHA um yeah maybe a little >.>') And the historical stuff was AMAZINGLY HILARIOUS. And in general I really liked it a lot also! I am probably going to end up buying it, which I don't do often with movies, just so I can watch that opening backstory montage over and over.
