Because I promised Shati
Feb. 15th, 2007 10:46 pmMany of you will likely wish to rend my limbs for this fic.
To you, I say these words of wisdom: Do Not Click.
"Thirty stories."
"Yep."
"You threw him thirty stories."
"'bout that. Yeah."
"Thirty stories."
"Getting a bit repetitive, this."
"You threw my son thirty fucking stories off a building, and he's still learning from you? Voluntarily?"
"Lad's a bit special," the invisible man says, cheerfully, "if you know what I mean."
Angela Petrelli looks momentarily long-suffering, which is probably a good sign that she does, in fact, know. The expression, however, is quickly replaced by one of brisk practicality. "I'm going to want continued regular reports, Claude - I can hear your footsteps, you know, and if you're making bunny ears behind my head it's a little wasted when nobody can see them - and if you ever push him into a fall which he fails to heal from, rest assured you'll be prosecuted to the best of my ability."
"'m over here," says the invisible man, "actually," and grips her shoulder in a familiar manner. (Possibly it's only familiar because it seems that every time she sees Nathan and Peter together, one of them is doing it to the other.) "Done lecturing? We've got places to be, you know. Shops aren't open forever."
"We've still got two hours before Macy's closes," Angela tells him, and slips her watch into the pocket of her neat business suit. "And I think we're going to try something larger than socks this time, if you don't mind. You pushed my son thirty stories; you can at least let me have a try at some diamonds or something."
A pause that probably signifies a shrug, and then a comfortable arm, slung over her shoulders.
"I needed socks," the invisible man says.
ETA: Sane people like Jez endorse! Possibly I will not be torn limb-from-limb.

Date: 2007-02-17 02:14 am (UTC)Making you buy Claude/Mama Petrelli is just the first step. From there, it is not far at all to Sylar/Mr. Muggles.no subject
