So today I have to a.) do some serious packing, b.) write at least a significant chunk of an essay, c.) come up with an actual thesis for another essay which I should have done last week, and d.) do my laundry.

Naturally, this means: MEME TIME.

Mrs. Mumby says the highlight of the ball was the dancing; Art asserts that it was the glorious moment the attacking spiders were crushed by the weight of the falling chandelier, and will not be dissuaded; but Jack thinks it was the way Myrtle looked as she shrieked furiously at the spiders that they had absolutely no manners and no business interfering with her very first ball, and while Myrtle sides aloud with Mrs. Mumby, privately she feels that the dancing was very much overrated compared with the feel of Jack's arms around her waist as he swung her out of the way of the flying buffet table.


Howl decides that he's going to make his permanent home in Ingary the first time that he sees Mrs. Pentstemmon's staff lined up, all clad in impeccable velvet.
