People staring soulfully into each other's eyes. Not moving, not making out, not talking or smiling or even holding hands. Just staring.
There is a couple in my hallway right now, standing against the wall, doing exactly that. I passed them on my way to go to the bathroom to take out my contact lenses, brush my teeth, etc. I emerged a minute or so later, and saw (as far as I can see without contacts) that neither of them had moved from their spot. It appeared to be some kind of very intimate moment, so I resisted the temptation to poke and make sure that they were still alive, scurried by, went out to go pick up my laundry, came back five minutes later with laundry in tow . . .
Exactly the same pose. Still staring.
I don't know, guys. I mean, I am not exactly the world's most romantic person, but however gorgeous your significant other's eyes are, wouldn't you get bored after two minutes or so . . .?
Anyways. What about you all? What are other things that you thought were just unrealistic cliches before you witnessed or experienced them?
