skygiants

i was so excited when this came out and i brought it home and put it at the top of my to-read pile. and then it made me sad. i only managed to get about halfway through it after forcing myself doggedly over months. the characters were all so flat and the writing was — well, i honestly wondered how it got published. ursula k le guin liked it, though, so obviously it's just me.
