Jinora's arc IN S2 is actually great, it's just everything that happens in Republic City and the South Pole that's often quite painful.

Right. It's all that stuff that I will find difficult to avoid or get out of my head afterward. What happened with Season 2? The last two seasons are supposed to be even better than the first!
