Like an astute and alert professional, I totally missed the actual release of my one published story of 2017!

So, uh, anyway, it turns out my short story Romeo, Revisited came out last week in Volume 3 of Aliterate. It features a lot of productions of Romeo and Juliet, and also some aliens, although generally only the ones appearing in productions of Romeo and Juliet.

Congratulations!

I love this sort of playful form. The voice is perfect (that brusque, definitive, highly informed reviewer-speak). And I was moved by the Jovian production...

I don't know if you were winking at this, but there's a Star Trek novel where non-humanoid aliens put on Romeo & Juliet, -- I can't remember the title just now.

It's definitely not How Much for Just the Planet?.

I'm trying to think if I know what it is, but the only thing that's coming to mind is Anne McCaffrey's The Ship Who Sang.

Oooh, that was really cool! You made such good use of the format--I love how much worldbuilding was in those reviews.

I enjoyed this very much, I really liked the use of reviews-as-worldbuilding :-)

That was really cool--I love the format, and how, in addition to telling the story in the background, it's also about the way we really do use theater to reflect on current events.

This was a fantastic and very funny read! Appreciated all the theater geekery coming through in the story.

Queen Mab speech falls flat when directed towards a blank-faced representative of a species that doesn’t dream, let alone sleep.

WHOA, that is so rude reviewer!

—clad in the skinniest of skinny jeans and bright blue fedoras—and the Capulets—sporting an array of vivid red three-piece suits—

I love how this slyly points out current costuming trends while also just being hilarious.

The tale of galactic conquest as told by theater reviews is hilarious. And as someone who spends a lot of time at work browsing non-fiction articles, I also loved how you captured the different tones of the publications :D

Congrats on the story!

Sci fi theatre geekery is a niche that clearly needs to happen. I'm especially fond of the Globe 21st century "historical reproduction", but the entire Jovian version is gold (COMPETITIVE JOVIAN KNITTING)

I loved this!! Fantastic format, and the performances all sound all too plausible. I am relieved to see that “the show must go on” applies even to alien invasion...
