Jan. 4th, 2018 11:08 amLike an astute and alert professional, I totally missed the actual release of my one published story of 2017!
So, uh, anyway, it turns out my short story Romeo, Revisited came out last week in Volume 3 of Aliterate. It features a lot of productions of Romeo and Juliet, and also some aliens, although generally only the ones appearing in productions of Romeo and Juliet.

I don't know if you were winking at this, but there's a Star Trek novel where non-humanoid aliens put on Romeo & Juliet, -- I can't remember the title just now.

Date: 2018-01-04 05:11 pm (UTC)-- and no, I don't think I've read that Star Trek novel (unless it's in How Much For Just The Planet? though I don't remember that one having a lot of Shakespeare in it) but now I really want to!

I love how this slyly points out current costuming trends while also just being hilarious.
The tale of galactic conquest as told by theater reviews is hilarious. And as someone who spends a lot of time at work browsing non-fiction articles, I also loved how you captured the different tones of the publications :D
