Nov. 11th, 2006 02:12 pmVery odd dreamthing last night. I think it involved some kind of Heroes-BSG crossover, which is extra odd as . . . I have never seen BSG. Um. I can't even remember why I knew it was BSG, except that Jamie Bamber was running around somewhere doing something Important and Foolhardy. Also, it was on a spaceship.
There is only one image I clearly remember: I walked into the costume shop I work in to perform some Very Important Sewing Errand For the Cause (why the costume shop was on the spaceship, I don't know) to find that the overlock machine had been moved from its normal spot in the corner. This was unnerving already; you don't move the overlock machine. It is complicated and finicky and rethreading it takes hours and hours of tweezers and hand-eye coordination, neither of which I have. So I looked around for it, and found it perched on a table a few feet away, threaded with human hair.
. . . to which my reaction, as far as I can recall, was 'how stupid! That's not going to hold for two seconds, and then I'll have to rethread it again, I hate the overlock machine.' But on waking up, that's the image that was in my head, and I sort of huddled down and was creeped out.
However! I cheered up quickly, because: off to San Francisco for fancy belated birthday dinner with my mother, and then to Berkeley to see
rymenhild. And also Lemony Snicket. *does dance of glee*
